Susanna Space is a writer of essays, memoir and flash nonfiction. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming at Longreads, Hobart, Redivider, Pleiades, The Rumpus, Third Coast and elsewhere.
Susanna’s essay "Threshold" was selected by Antonya Nelson for First Prize (Nonfiction) in the 2018 Glass Mountain Awards in Poetry and Prose, and her first book, a memoir, was a finalist in the 2018 Tucson Festival of Books Literary Awards. Susanna’s prose has been shortlisted for numerous other prizes, including Redivider’s Blurred Genre Contest, Storm Cellar's Force Majeure Flash Contest and the VanderMey Nonfiction Prize.
A New England native, Susanna holds a BA in English from the University of New Hampshire and a publishing degree from Emerson College in Boston.
